This recipe is made up of simply apples and some water they were cooked in. You could also add a little of your babies milk into it.

Its best to use eating apples for this recipe as they are naturally sweeter than cooking apples. There are lots of varieties you can use. The sweeter varieities include: fuji, gala, red delicuous or slightly more tart types include; granny smith or braeburn.

How do I serve apple puree for baby?
Simply serve as it is or straight from the fridge. You can also mix with a little milk of your choice.
How easy is it to make?
Its very easy to make in less than 10 mins. If you wanted to save more time you could make a bigger batch and then freeze some. They could also be combined with other purees later on as the weeks progress.
What is a portion size for a 6 month old?
This recipe makes about 5 portions which you can divide into little pots or a weaning tray. A portion is equivalent to 1 – 2 tablespoons. Be guided by their appetite rather than what you have portioned out.
How do I store apple puree for baby?
Once it has cooled you can portion it out and put in the fridge. It will keep for up to 3 days. Otherwise put the freezer and it will keep for 3 months.
